This is for high school students, but maybe some of the folks on this list
have kids who have aged out of FLL. It's a bargain: $195 for five days,
breakfast/lunch/snacks included.

Always wondered what "cyber attacks" really are? How a special group of
cyber warriors protect and defend our banks, stores, and electric plants
every second?

Join experts from the FBI and the foremost companies in the nation for the
the most hands-on #CYBERcamp in the National Capital Region. Experience:

communicate with each other

* how the communication among computers on the Internet is captured
and how to read/understand this communication

* how computers are programmed internally to allow them to manage,
store, process, and render documents and folders

* file system forensics - how to restore, read, and analyze computer
files and perform other investigative activities on a computer

* how Windows programs work - what a computer operating system is,
and specifically, how the Microsoft Windows operating system works

* Static and Dynamic Analysis - learning how to analyze software code
when it is not running/in use, and while it's running/in use - and why that
matters

InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. It is an
association of persons who represent businesses, academic institutions,
state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated
to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the
U.S.

I've been to a few Infragard events and they're really good.
