Tim (and everyone else since I know that this is important to a lot of teams),
The VA-DC FLL registration system is open now and will open tournament preference selection on October 1st. The system will remain open until October 10th at which point teams will no longer be able to make any changes (this includes team names, kids on the team, etc.). The reason is so that we can do assignments for the teams to tournaments and tournament directors can start making schedules and plans for the day.
As a tournament director myself, I often ask teams to verify their information (that their team number and division are correct and that I have the correct team name) when I send out the welcome email. If you have a name change that is a good time to let your tournament director know. If you wait any later than that, there's a good change that schedules have been printed and paperwork completed and they will not be able to promise a name change. Tournaments have a lot of behind the scenes planning required and it just becomes more difficult if teams make a lot of changes so please keep that in mind. Our tournament directors are also volunteers giving up their time to help.
Please have all changes possible completed and all information correct in the VA-DC FLL registration system before it closes on October 10th in order to make it easier for us to get the assignments completed and the tournaments planned.
