Earlier this fall, I wrote a memo for my university on bias in student
evaluation of teaching. (I've attached an excerpt from that memo, in case
it's of interest to anyone.)

I am now seeking examples of* good practices* for student evaluation of
teaching. Has anyone's university explored better ways to have students
evaluate teaching? Has anyone's university specifically explored ways to
approach the evaluation process that could help to minimize some of the
biases? I'm interested in any "best practices" (or "better practices") that
you might be aware of.  I'd be happy to collate these "good practices" and
send them to the list.  (I did write a basic guideline earlier this fall,
which I shared with the FEAST listserv, on better and worse ways of
phrasing the questions on the evaluation forms; but I'm now seeking more
general ideas about how to approach the practice of having students
evaluate teaching.)
