*Hi Gregg,A lot of tasty, tough meat in the first review. Worth stewing
over later. For now, here are the prime cuts from all three.Reviewer 1:I
downloaded Henriques (2003) and his2008 paper in Theory and Psychology, a
journal I do not follow. What a pleasant surprise in both cases! Both
present the same “Tree of Knowledge”framework . . .in a sophisticated,
scholarly way and I am sure I would have accepted either ofthem. . .”This
manuscript could be titled, “BigPsychology: The Story of Us.”Is it simply,
“Isn’t Nature Wonderful?”BIT’s motivational theory is essentially
hedonistic. .colorful figure to show that language is related to
cultureReviewer 2:“. . . one can be sure that the . . .ToK scheme depicts
science as a hierarchy of organizationallevels, like . . . that of EO
Wilson, or, to mention the first one, that of Auguste Comte.”Reviewer 3:“it
is entirely legitimate . . . to speak of the behavior of quarks, electrons,
atoms, molecules, cells, organs, computers, cars, clouds, [and] plants.”“.
. .there is a hierarchy, and this is an important notion: Animals are made
of systems, systems of organs, organs of tissues, tissues of cells, cells of
molecules, molecules of atoms , [and] atomsof subatomic particles . . .
Different levels of organization are tightly related to oneanother. .
