Hi List,
Here is an interesting article from David Brooks: Fighting the Spiritual Void<https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/19/opinion/mental-health-ptsd-community.html?action=click&module=MoreInSection&pgtype=Article&region=Footer&contentCollection=Opinion>. To my way of thinking, he is getting at two important points. First, in the context of deciphering the experience of PTSD, how do we think and talk about behavior, mind and consciousness (relative to brains, diseases on the one hand and souls and spirituality on the other)? Second, it draws attention to the need for a "morally thick" culture, which I think is a useful description.

FYI, I just posted two blogs on the college student mental health crisis. This one offering an update on the crisis<https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/theory-knowledge/201811/the-college-student-mental-health-crisis-update>, and this one offering my analysis https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/theory-knowledge/201811/two-major-causes-the-college-mental-health-crisisof the two primary causes.

Best,
Gregg
