Hi Lonnie, I too want to thank you for your posts. I want to highlight your point here about PTSD, as it is such a key condition to be aware of. My mentor and thesis advisor, Dr. Lawrence Calhoun, was one of the original founders of Post Traumatic Growth (he offered a paper on it relative to the unified system: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/8244481_The_unification_of_psychology_A_noble_quest). He had brilliant and fascinating things to say about the various pathways (both destructive and growth promoting) trauma took through people's lives. Thanks Steve - I really appreciate your words. I especially appreciate your insight about experienced pain. Those I have known with PTSD, for example, (my nephew who passed away not long ago is one) seem to be "weathered away" if you know what I mean... like unique land formations that have gone thru a storm, and you can't put back the parts that were etched away. Again, many thanks Lonny ############################ To unsubscribe from the TOK-SOCIETY-L list: write to: mailto:[log in to unmask] or click the following link: http://listserv.jmu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=TOK-SOCIETY-L&A=1 ############################ To unsubscribe from the TOK-SOCIETY-L list: write to: mailto:[log in to unmask] or click the following link: http://listserv.jmu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=TOK-SOCIETY-L&A=1
