Hi Gregg:

Thanks for the blog. Looks great.

Speaking of nonduality and many Eastern traditions, I find it useful to see a difference between dualism (Decartes, two realities), and duality (phenomenology, mind/body related).  If nonduality is about "one" reality, "one" reality can be monism as in scientism, the mere spirit. or whatever. What we have, then, are nuances between duality and dualism. Monism, duality (holistic objectivity, all things related, Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintenance,  Tao of Physics), dualism (two distinct realities), postmodern (no coherence).

Just a thought.'
Best,
Michael

Hi Folks,

Yesterday I put up the blog on the four scientific worldviews:

It did not attract much attention in terms of views, but I think it is a useful taxonomy going forward. I also had a great conversation with Nik clarifying the UTOK’s worldview relative to nonduality and many Eastern traditions. I think there is much fertile ground here. I also want to reiterate that the Tree, Garden, and Coin frame for the (1) Objective-It-Science, (2) Intersubjective-We-Narrative, and (3) Subjective, I, Phenomenology frame has legs.

Best,

G
