  I am in strong agreement that we are in a period of massive shifting. Re paradigms in the Kuhnian traditional sense of the word, I would say that physics broke at the 20th Century and two ½ paradigms evolved in general relativity and quantum mechanics-into-quantum field theory. In addition, information theory, information science and the way it synced up with entropy and energy flow, as well as the emergence of complex dynamical systems theory (and all the variants therein) in the middle of the 20th century resulted in a massive pluralism in the epistemology and ontology of science. Consequently, these days I, for one, do not really see a true “paradigm” in either physics or science in general, but rather flux. We live in a time of chaotic pluralism, and the pendulum will need to swing more toward consolidation and unity before then swinging back to pluralism.  

 

  Here is a short blog I did on four different scientific worldviews. The UTOK scientific worldview is very much in line with virtually all of what Robert Oldershaw identifies. The UTOK argues that the next paradigm scientific paradigm will include the proper modeling of the relationship between mathematics, physics, psychology, and philosophy. The UTOK gives the Tree, Coin, Garden formulation for that alignment as follows:

 

  The Tree of Knowledge System gives a new naturalistic ontology because of the way it frames cosmic evolution and emergence as dimensions of complexification that moves from an initial field of Energy-Information at Bang then into Matter into Life into Mind into Culture which gives birth to Modern Empirical Natural Science as a special kind of cultural justification that generates transcendent realist claims about the objective reality.

 

  The iQuad Coin complements the ToK System as the core placeholder for idiographic subjectivity, which is something the language game of modern science is essentially blind to. Although the primary function of the Coin is as a “talisman of transformation” that holds the individual human person’s frame of reference and sets the stage for “obtaining right relation with is and ought”, as the attached essay shows, it can be directly linked to complex mathematical formulations, most especially the Euler Identity/Formula and how it grounds much of quantum physics. As a function of this linkage, the Coin affords us a “radical mathematical humanistic” and “identity identity equivalency formulaic” linkage between our subjective field of experience and the logic of mathematics into modern physics.

 

  The Garden is a path to wisdom/wise living. It can be thought of as the way of the sage that follows that the Garden philosophy both in terms of knowing and phronesis (there are, of course, other wisdom philosophies). It sits under the Elephant Sun God as the icon of the ultimate Good, True, Beauty antithesis of Evil, which presumably all wisdom philosophies would/should be defined in reference to at some level.

I hear talk about this more and more but you do not see much produced. About the only place I think you hear much is in non-linear dynamics and systems theory. Which is great.

In this model Mass is derived from the same force - the information coming into a particle (standing wave) accumulates over time. Which is not liked at all by Materialist. They are all just models some more effective and thought out than others, I would at least open things up and look for new alternatives instead of just continually trying to fix the old.

 

It is an interesting theory, and I would say fits very well with analytical idealism - is it true? Time will tell but as the video says something has got to change. The Webb telescope is going to be very interesting. 

 

In the end I think you either have big bang materialism with no consciousness or analytical idealism with something other than a bang explaining what we see. A very interesting time to be alive.

For those who are wondering, the ToK System does not commit too much to cosmological models, other than the generalized "Big Bang/Big Beginning" frame such that a hot dense radiation energy universe transforms into/gives birth to particles and the Matter dimension.
