Thanks, Waldemar. I agree with you. I spent a fair amount of time with those guys when I hung around Div 24 (Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology). There was lots of good overlap and potential synergy. Unfortunately, as I think you know, overall Div 24 became very dominated by the postmodern, post-structural critical theory position and the UTOK was definitely seen as an outsider. I now see that it is of a metamodern sensibility, so at least I have a better frame.

But, on a more conceptual note, it is interesting and positive to compare the Christian Smith sociological critical realist view with Martin/Sugarman/Hickinbottom and others that were in that division working from what can broadly be construed as a "personalist" position (which Smith also identifies as).
