Thanks, Andre and Waldemar for your notes on this blog.

For me, it speaks to a couple of things. First, I do need to acknowledge the blog was a bit dense and required UTOK background language/understanding and so at that level, given the goal and audience of Psych Today, I do understand.

Second, given that I have had a rich and active blog there since 2011 it was also a bit frustrating that my language still seems to opaque to so many.

Third, there is a reason the problem of psychology was so difficult to solve. There are many complicated subtle issues in dealing with the concepts the blog lays out.

Fourth, I do think for UTOK insiders the blog has value in that it serves as a summary/reference for the key terms. And I think it shows both (a) why much descriptive metaphysical work is needed and (b) how deep, broad, and specific UTOK is in how it both defines and then conceptually interrelates these terms. In that regard, I do think it is fair to say UTOK is in a class by itself.

Best,
Gregg

The fact that Psychology Today readers couldn’t understand 10 words that are foundational to psychology is both tragically sad and hilarious to me

Subject: [EXT] TOK 10 Key words

Hi Folks,

I put up this blog on 10 Key Words in UTOK Psychology. I shared it a bit ago and first tried to put it up on Psychology Today, but they rejected it with the comment “several of our staff tried to read this and understand your definitions, but none of us knew what you were talking about”. Oh well. What if I just say: “Trust me! 😊

Anyway, I put it up on Medium. I consider it as is a reference for those who want to learn the language. And it makes the larger point that these words need to be both defined and then defined in relationship to one another. And, in UTOK’s corner, the argument is no system does this with more clarity and precision and in a way that aligns with what we know.
