Good morning,

 

Many of us are very excited about the legislative movement on VCLA with both the House and Senate signing a bill to eliminate the requirement. This bill is currently on the Governor’s desk https://legiscan.com/VA/bill/HB731/2024. If and hopefully when he signs, the Board of Education and Department of Education will contact us regarding implementation – any other requirements that may be enacted - and timelines. At this time, the VCLA continues to be a requirement for our candidates.  I will send an update when something changes!
