Hi UTOK Folks,

Ever since I have seen Robert Sapolsky yammering on about how the only things that have causal powers in the world are physical and biological entities, I have been meaning to etch out the basic UTOK position on the Free Will v. Determinism Debate.

  The short answer is that philosophers have long screwed this up as a function of the Enlightenment Gap and a failure to generate even a partially adequate model of the human mind and mental causation. This essay gives the minimum necessary framing to avoid all the incredibly misguided stuff that has been said about this issue, at least from an endo-naturalistic perspective like UTOKs.
