Hi UTOKers,

Happy God Moon Day!

The discipline of the day is philosophy, and as such it is appropriate to share the latest Psychology Today blog, titled The Problem of Natural Philosophy.

It is a new angle on the Enlightenment Gap. Namely, we can say that the problem of natural philosophy gave rise to the Enlightenment Gap.

What is natural philosophy? Well, it is what natural science evolves into. In the blog I use a quote from E O Wilson to define the problem as achieving a consilient relationship between the natural sciences and human history.

We can say that Big History is the basic, zoomed out outline for the solution.

And UTOK gives us the necessary Big History 2.0 vision for actually solving the problem.

This allows us to be clear about the four problems that are addressed by UTOK, which are:
The problem of natural philosophy (AKA the Enlightenment Gap)
The problem of psychology
The problem of psychotherapy
The problem of the psyche

Looking forward to the conference next week to explore this!

Best,
G
