I agree that this is good news, what is interesting is that it doesn't
seem to support the perception (one that I've heard) that women get
hired more easily than men because of affirmative action. It also
reminds us that we have work to do at an earlier level, to make sure
that the percentage of women receiving degrees in philosophy increases.
