RESEARCH DISSEMINATION SPECIALIST – AD
POSTING NUMBER 10147
This position is responsible for communicating the research and activities of the Center for the
Study of Women in Society to communities within and beyond the University. Duties include
creating content for the website including the CSWS blog, writing and coordinating publication
of the annual review and other publications, and creating and managing effective strategies for
the dissemination of CSWS events and research. This position will also assist faculty members in
writing grants for CSWS and its Research Interest Groups.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A master’s degree in journalism, English, creative writing or equivalent field; five years
experience in professional writing and editing, including online publications and reports;
excellent interpersonal skills, with strong performance in cross-cultural communication; strong
organizational skills, creativity, independence, and self-motivation; layout, production
experience, and grant-writing experience a plus.
Terms of Employment: $40,000 - $50,000 annual salary (.625 FTE) with excellent fringe
benefits. This is a one-year (12 month) position starting July 1, 2010.
