Colleagues,
Every two years the American Association of Philosophy Teachers awards the Lenssen Prize for the best published article or book chapter concerning the teaching and learning of Philosophy from the prior two year period. Three or four “Finalists” are often also recognized. This is an international research award.
We are now beginning our reading for the 2012 award, which examines papers published in 2010 or 2011. The award committee reads every article from the following sources:
- Teaching Philosophy
- APA Newsletter on Teaching
- Discourse: Learning and Teaching in Philosophical and Religious Studies (UK)
- Analytic Teaching and Philosophical Praxis
- Teaching Ethics
If you are aware of excellent papers centrally addressing the teaching or learning of Philosophy that appear in other sources that you would like the committee to consider, please send bibliographic information, or even better a PDF of the paper in its entirety, to [log in to unmask]
For more information see: http://philosophyteachers.org/awards.shtml
Thank you for helping us make sure that we read all of the best papers.
