Assistant Professor
The Department of Philosophy at St. Lawrence University invites applications for full -time, tenuretrack
position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in the fall semester of 2015. AOS:
Philosophy of Language and/or Philosophy of Mind and AOC: Envir onmental Philosophy, and
Reasoning/Critical Thinking (including ability to teach elementary logic in such a course).
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. and offer evidence of excellence in teaching as well as
productive scholarly commitments. The standard workload is three courses per semester, including
at least one at the introductory level, and participation in the First Year Program prior to tenure. St.
Lawrence offers a generous travel policy, and junior faculty members receive pre -tenure research
