If I can be of use, please just let me know, yes?  Sally and I became  
friends umpteen years ago, in NYC, when there were so many hard,  
troubling, fascinating, philosophically challenging questions all  
around, including what to do as philosophers, a designation neither of  
us at that moment comfortably related to at all.  Many stories; never  
mind for now -- there are so many among the weaves of Sally's many  
friends.  But if I can be of use....
