Dear FEASTers:

I encourage folks to apply for our new position in normative ethics
and social political philosophy. We are in the process of rebuilding
our department after a
series of retirements. ISU has a Women's and Gender Studies Program
which offers a minor and graduate certificate.

Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning August 2010. Six
courses/year (3/semester), undergraduate; usual non-teaching duties.
AOS: normative ethics and social/political philosophy. Record of
significant contribution to interdisciplinary and general education
programs. Ph.D. prior to appointment. Teaching experience
required. Competitive salary. Possible summer work. To assure full
consideration, send complete dossier with vita, three letters of
recommendation, one writing sample, and teaching evaluations to
arrive no later than November 13, 2009 to: Search Committee,
Department of Philosophy, Illinois State University, Normal, IL
61790-4540. No electronic submissions. Interviews will be arranged
by the search committee and conducted via televideo conference.
Illinois State University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action
university encouraging diversity.

Best,

Alison Bailey
