The Philosophy Department at Bentley University (Waltham, MA) invites
applications for a full-time, tenure-track/tenured position. Assistant
Professor strongly preferred but exceptional candidates at the Associate or
Full Professor level will be considered. Start date: Fall 2015. The
successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher and researcher, willing
to contribute to the activities of the department and university. Salary
and teaching load are competitive. AOS: Ethics, broadly construed so as to
include normative ethics, applied ethics, metaethics, moral psychology, and
political philosophy. AOC: Open, but an ability and willingness to teach
courses in applied ethics preferred.

The following materials are requested: CV, cover letter, statement of
teaching philosophy, research statement, teaching evaluations, and a
writing sample, which can be uploaded using the "Other Document" tab in the

three references. Candidates' letters will be requested upon submission of
their applications.

Preference will be given to applications received on or before November
15th, but the search will remain open until the position is filled. Initial
interviews will be conducted at the American Philosophical Association
meeting, Eastern Division, Dec. 27-30, 2014. Questions may be directed to
