Final Call For Participants Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) Impact Study Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) measures have been shown to be biased against women, as well as against non-English speaking instructors, and minority and especially Black faculty, to include these measures at all as part of a decision-making process is to allow the introduction of a systematically disadvantaging mechanism to play hiring, promotion, and salary increase decisions. Yet, currently, there are no studies documenting the impact of SETs on the careers of teachers in higher education. The purpose of this study is to fill this gap in this area of research on SETs so stakeholders can have a concrete idea of the extent of the impact that SETs have had on the careers of instructors in higher education. I am Dr. Cecilea Mun, Assistant Adjunct Professor with the Department of Humanities at Bowling Green State University – Firelands.
