We are encouraging colleagues across many inter/disciplines to submit
proposals. Sending very warm wishes, Barbara

Dear Colleagues,

for a forthcoming reader that craft rigorous and cutting edge content for
undergraduate students in advanced courses. We invite proposals (250-500

limited to poems and short fiction/nonfiction) that address where and how
critical conversations in women's/gender/feminist/LGBTQPAI+/sexuality

preference will be given to works that adopt and elucidate transnational
perspectives and intersectional approaches.

Topics of particular interest include and are not limited to:

· organizing/activism tied to LGBTQAI+ communities

· im/migration; forced immigration; deportation

· war; national borders; "security" and "terrorism"

· prison industrial complex and state violence

nonconforming (especially in transnational contexts)

· sex positivity and consent

· institutionalized sexual violence (e.g. in prisons, on college
campuses, and in the military)

· digital culture, gaming culture, virtual realities, and technology

· feminist and/or queer science studies and scientific inquiry

· health, healthcare, and gender (esp in a transnational context)

· reproduction and biopolitics

· spirituality; religion

· indigenous and first nation thought

· shaping the body (e.g. cosmetic surgeries; fitness; fatness; gender
expression)

· critical knowledge production (historical and contemporary)

· critical interventions in post-feminism, post-racial,
post-colonial, post-truth, and neoliberalism

· resilience and resistance

· affect theories, cultural studies of emotions

· aging

· race and racial formation

· critical approaches to transnational feminism and/or
intersectionality

· critical approaches to transnational queer studies and/or
intersectionality

The submission deadline for proposals is February 15, 2017. Please send
questions and/or a PDF of the proposal, including contact details (name,
institutional or organizational affiliation, email, and phone number) to
Barbara L. Shaw [log in to unmask] Once a proposal is conditionally
accepted, the deadline for the completed chapter of no more than 3750 words
