Dear list members,

I am looking for empirical evidence for two related things:

a) that sometimes institutionalized child care can be a high status
occupation, or at least higher status than child care done in private
settings and

b) that institutionalized child care, when relatively high status, is
more likely to attract men than child care done in private settings.

Can anybody help me with this?

Thank you, and best wishes.

Anca Gheaus
