The question for me is how did some humans (the dominant ones today) become
so uncooperative with the natural world (so much so that they/we have
broken the delicate ecologies all over the planet)? Why did they begin to
think themselves separate from and superior to the natural world unlike
most humans and societies of the world? The view is opposite to the
indigenous worldview that first nations people display where are all are
related to all and respectful relations are required for thriving. Harari
seems to give us another apologists view for how wonderful we dominators
are (like selfish gene theory and Abrahamic religions do). Instead, in
indigenous eyes are insane, stupid and/or immoral (see Marshall Sahlins,
The Western Illusion of Human Nature). And it continues unabated.
