Dear TOK Society List,

I am writing to share a couple of updates about list members.

First, I wanted to let folks know that the TOK Society Executive Committee (myself, Waldemar, Joe, and Steve) decided to remove Mark Stahlman from the list. Mark offered many interesting contributions during his time on this list. However, his tone could be dismissive and attacking in a way that resulted in several back channel warnings. More recently, he offered a diatribe against TOK Society member Alexander Bard on Alexander's list (Intellectual Deep Web) in a way that simply was unacceptable and Alexander removed him from that list. I concurred with that judgment and we have followed in kind. We wish Mark and his Center for the Study of Digital Life the best.

Second, I also want to let folks know that although the TOK conference was very productive, it was determined over the course of the meeting and other discussions that Edward Kroger's "proprietary business" set up with his One Divide Philosophy and Method could not be effectively reconciled with the academic culture of "the free market" of ideas. As such, although it was a great ride intellectually, there are too many restrictions and "cultural" differences that prevent the fruitful synthesis of our ideas. As such, Edward has moved on to pursue his business ventures in other domains.

If anyone has any questions about this, feel free to back channel me.

Regards to all,
Gregg
