Hi TOK List,

I feel the need to share that I just heard of Dr. Scott Lilienfeld’s passing last night. I have known Scott for a long time; he offered his commentary on the ToK’s frame for psychology back in 2004<https://www.gregghenriques.com/uploads/2/4/3/6/24368778/is_it_worth_the_trouble.pdf>. Although he and I did not always see eye-to-eye on matters in psychology, I always deeply appreciated his insights, commitment to integrity, and strong voice for empirical science. Moreover, he was a genuinely good, caring human-being. He will be missed.

Sincerely,
Gregg

Dear Members,

You may have already heard, but the SSCP Board wanted to share the sad news that Scott Lilienfeld passed away last night. Scott was an important, long-standing member of the SSCP community, and a scholar who made significant contributions to clinical psychological science. His passing is a loss to the field, and our condolences go out to all of those affected by this loss.

Sincerely,

The SSCP Board
