Hi TOKers,

I happened to come across this article from the 2008 special section on the Tree of Knowledge yesterday and its capacity to integrate psychology and human knowledge more generally. I recalled how much I liked it and so I decided to share here. Jack Anchin is a serious meta-theorist in psychology and psychotherapy, and someone I have worked with as part of the "unified psychotherapy approach" side of the equation.

I found myself appreciating his analysis of the system through "the critical role of the dialectic". Although I originally interpreted Jack via the lens of the Hegelian dialectic of thesis-antithesis-synthesis and dialectical poles in healthy balance, I also now "hear" it in terms of dialectics and John Vervaeke's dialogos.

Bringing this to the recent exchange on free will, I would ask those who have chimed in, can you go from physics to conversations and back again with a consilient mode of explanation?

Best,
Gregg
