Hi TOK List,
Thought I would share that TOK Exec Comm member, Joe Michalski had a featured comment in the Washing Post discussion. He submitted it just prior to the news breaking about POTUS and FLOTUS testing positive.

As human beings, I genuinely feel for Hope and, as with a close friend of mine who almost died from COVID down in Maryland last May (ventilator, but recovered), I wish for health and full recovery. That extends to the president and his wife. That's the world I would like to try to create - and one has to "walk the walk" and be consistent with genuine care and concern for those in trouble or suffering.

All that said, please vote in November and let's get people in leadership who care about humanity and people everywhere, regardless of their background or station in life. Do not be sucked into the vortex of racism, bigotry, and hatred that has become so normalized. I understand that the president despises people like me (scientist, full professor, PhD, Habitat for Humanity volunteer, etc.). And some people literally will never change, no matter what the evidence of their own evil and complicity. If you are still reading my post, then you understand that you and I, however, can change. We can listen to the better angels of our nature and respond with our dharmic selves - even when someone's shouting in our ear and bullying us... That's my final post & request. Dr. Know out!

I think it nicely captures the idea of trying be that which enhances dignity and well-being with integrity.

Best,
Gregg
