Because there are a several new people on this list, I will try and offer a brief summary of what the iQuad Coin means.
First, the iQuad side is in the shape of an H. And if you rotate it 90 degrees, it becomes an I. The H I stands for the "Human Identity" function. This refers to the process by which you identify self-world relations. We can also think of it as your unique idiographic psyche. Thus, another way to think of the iQuad coin is as a mirror to your core epistemic experience of being and meaning.
Second, the iQuad connects to the complex unit circle in math. That is, the i is the imaginary number and raised to the fourth power, it gives the answer 1 and also represents a circle with two axis, one of real numbers and one of imaginary numbers. The bridge between the two concepts is to think of the imaginal axis as an epistemic axis and to think of the real axis as an ontic axis. That is, your psyche is a complex blend of epistemic structures aspectualizing and making sense of real objects in the world. And you transjectively interact with them on the complex plane. (This language comes from John Vervaeke). There is much more to be said, but the point of this is that the iQuad Coin bridges the psyche and mathematical and philosophical concepts.
On the back side there is the Tree of Life, which resides in the center of the Garden. The first "apple" on the left side is the Tree of Knowledge System. The ToK System gives us a third person "objective behavioral view" of the world. Pertaining to humans, it gives us a view of "human mental behavior". The next three apples on the Tree of Life, JUST, BIT, and the Matrix, are metatheories that provide us a way to explain human mental behavior in terms of justification, investment and influence dynamics. These theories assimilate and integrate key insights from across the schools of thought and coherently interrelate them. Thus, what we have in combination is a Coin-psyche and Tree-behavior relation that does what never has been accomplished before in psychology, which is a descriptive metaphysical frame for the ontology of mental processes and human persons that is scientifically consistent with the natural sciences and places that in right relation to the qualitative subject in the here and now, real specific idiographic contingent world.
Finally, the Unified Approach gives frames for adaptive living, development, well-being and psychological mindfulness (the second set of four apples on the Tree of Life) that set the stage for key principles for being that which enhance dignity and well-being with integrity. This becomes fuller with the two wisdom bees on the Tree of Life. The bee on the left is the bee of Sophia (knowledge into wisdom) and the bee on the right, the bee of phronesis (adaptive, wise living). We also then put the Tree in the Garden underneath the Elephant Sun God for the full effect.
Thus, in UTOK, we have Coin-psyche, Tree (of Knowledge)-Behavior, and Garden-Wisdom which affords us subjective, objective and intersubjective frames put together in a coherent integrative pluralistic system of knowledge oriented toward wisdom.
