Haydee,

I can tell you what we have done in the past and we repeated this year.
We screwed a length of 2X4 that is a little wider then the model to the
outside of the north wall of our table with the top edge and the bottom
edge exactly even with our north wall top and bottom. Then we screwed a
piece of wood to bottom of this piece of 2X4 that was big enough to
place the feet of the mission model to sit on. This simulates having
two tables pushed together with their north walls touching. The model
can be dual locked then to your mat and to the piece of wood that would
be the surface of the table where that other mat would sit. I worry
that foam board would not be sturdy enough. Use screws to attach pieces
together. When you are done take the screws out and there is not much
to see without the need to sand.

I hope you can picture what I am talking about.
