It is a separate judging area. You will have three rooms to go to during the tournament-
the presentation/research judging,
the robot design judging,
and the core values/ teamwork judging.
The robot game is run in the open and everyone watches it. The other judging areas have only 2 coaches and 1 historian that can enter the closed room with the kids. You can't say anything or help the kids in any way, so don't bring parents who feel they "need" to help.
Core values judging is the spontaneous part of the tournament.
Regards,
Brandy

Subject: Re: [VADCFLL-L] Core Values
Are the Core Values something we include in our presentation or is this
something the team will be quizzed on? Thanks for any clarification on
this.

I actually think you kind of can practice for it in that you can prepare for it. You can read the FLL Core Values with your team and discuss it. Write each one on a piece of paper and put them in a basket and let them take turns drawing one out, read it aloud, and say what they think it means.
