‘Twas the week before Harrisonburg,

And all through the house,

Not a Chromebook was stirring,

Not even the mouse.

Dusty was all snuggled

Quite safe in its case;

In hopes of great missions,

Launched from either home base.

The team was in jammies,

Each coach wore some, too,

Wond’ring, “Were eight weeks of learning

Enough to get through?”

When down in the LEGO Room,

There arose such a clatter;

Each coach jumped from bed,

To see what was the matter!

Away to the door,

They all flew like a flash!

They ran to the game table,

And tripped and fell – CRASH!

Ten elves they spied working,

They just did not cease,

Designing, creating

A unique Masterpiece.

When Dusty moved forward,

The elves watched where it went;

Each giggling and dancing,

Audience members were sent.

They yelled, “Lights!  Cameras!  STEM!"

Trying each mission and game,

And they talked about each of us,

And called us by name!

The Camera starts the missions,
Ronan points to the goal,
Edwin pushes the button,

The camera’s off on a roll.

Can Zoey’s creation,

Make the robot go straight?

With Liam's keen eye,

The Craft will surely create.

“Hologram is ready,"
Lily yells to her team,
“And Movie Set is waiting,”
Grayson aligns the machine.

Jenna’s alignment of Dusty,

Is a very big key,

With Raquel’s push of the button

Makes the dragon 3D.

Abby lines up the art piece,

All are ready to move,

Eva aims to Museum

That resembles the Louvre.

We watched as the elves,

Played with our robot for hours;

They called out our names,

Watching our ‘bot use its powers.

As each elf ran our robot

They sang out our song,

“Do You Know the Core Values?”

We followed along.

With Coopertition and Teamwork,

To include everyone,

Ten elves did our missions,

They sure did Have Fun!

With Gracious Professionalism,

They played with our bricks;

We watched in contentment,

As the robot did tricks.

But, suddenly and sadly,

And as quickly as that;

They undid their fine work,

And tidied our mat.

As they read through our script,

That handful of elves,

Yelled, “Sorry, sweet children,

Now you must do it yourselves!”
