Well if they collect different supplies while they are out on other missions, they don’t want to have to run them down to the Red Zone every time, but instead bring them down at the end.  But then the question was, do these supplies have to sit in the base or can they be removed from the table, giving the robot room to maneuver, until they need them later.

Maybe I'm missing something but why would they want to bring them to base instead of directly to the red zone?

His concern is if they are picking items up from the field and bringing them back to base in order to transport to the Red Zone later on, that this would clog up their base and leave no room for the robot.
