Good morning Srini,

As far as stopping the program via the hub, I refer you to page 17 rule 5. Robots must be autonomous during the match. No remote controllers of any type or allowed.

You may not use laptops, iPhones or other devices to control the robot. All programs must be stored on the robot itself.

As far as interrupting the robot that is partly in of home area, I refer you to page 20 rule 1 which states the team loses a precision token If the robot is partly in home. The robots arm is part of the robot.

Hello,
I have following question related to precision token / handling of robot clarification.

For our Mission -01 - 3d cinema, mission, we have built a long arm attachment, which can reach over and push the lever down with the Robot in the Home area itself, We plan to push the arm thrice so as to make sure if the lever is missed in first 2 attempts.

In case, if the level is pushed down in first attempt, we would stop the program using button in the Hub and move the robot for next mission positioning.

In this case, do we loose a precision token for interrupting the robot, when technically, the robot is in the Home area only., but arm is beyond the red line of the home area?

Pls clarify.

Thanks
Srini S.

A parent asked me this week if a team has a few members with tendencies towards personality or learning disabilities will understanding be applied during innovation or other judging events. If the member walks away while other team members are presenting, walk out the room before the team is done presenting, or fails to make eye contact while sharing out…if we are stressing equity and giving all kids a chance…how do judges take those factors into account when assessing the team?

Good evening Kathleen,

And looking at the robot rulebook on page 17, rule 1 tells us that all equipment must be Lego made building pieces in original factory condition.

Rule 6 on the same page tells us that you may bring one sheet of notebook paper per home area for program notes.

Unfortunately the technique you've described below is not allowed.

Hi,

Everything the team uses with the robot has to be made by Lego--does
this also apply to things used to help align launches from home? My team
is wondering if a paper grid with launch markings on it is allowed to
sit over the grid that is printed on the mat in the home area.

Kathleen
