You *can*. Remember that the setup time comes out of the five minutes, and the judges may not be impressed if they think the kids could/should have been doing it – i.e., if you’re lugging in a 30” tube TV, that’s one thing; if you’re plugging in a laptop power supply, not so much. The kids should do as much as they reasonably can.
